To record an afternoon and listen as a blind man – Feedback on Friday afternoon session

The Friday afternoon class was an amazing experience for me. I perceived the world using only my auditory and tactile senses. It was a very subtle feeling, and without the aid of vision many things seemed to return to their most realistic state. The touch of the feet becomes clear, and the sounds I hear are its truest decibels. When we have vision, we subjectively amplify the sounds we like or want to hear, and actively block or ignore the sounds we don’t like or don’t want to hear. It’s also important to note that we can hear some amazing sounds, sounds that are easy to ignore when we’re looking at the world with our eyes. Like when I’m working on my work, I choose to close my eyes and listen when I’m working on the final version, so it’s easy to hear the dissonance.

I felt like I was in a tape recorder state that afternoon, but unfortunately I didn’t have the ability to record that.
