Creative process – video 3
After today’s commissioning, we found that -10% exposure video was the most suitable for the school’s screen. We also found some problems today, the particle is skipping frames. Then the circled area in the middle of the particles should be made some tonal difference. The problem with the skipped frames is easily solved. The particle video footage is only about ten seconds long, so I had to copy and paste it over and over until it was fifteen minutes old. And it may be that a few of the video clips didn’t connect exactly and there was a empty frame or two in between. So just recheck where the videos join up. On the subject of darkening the middle origin part, I used PS to composite an image and overlay it with the video. Trying to get it to transition very naturally from the shaded part to the original tone.

The next adjustment was based on the audio in the middle section. The middle audio is at 13 minutes and after a burst of thunder, the two worlds completely blend together and the sound returns to its original form. So I made the middle shadow section and particle effects disappear at this node, not suddenly, but slowly from 10:00 onwards.
