I have two ways for the production of these sound effects that are now needed. The first is to use the sound effects in the sound library to modify, tweak or combine them. The second is to use synthesisers.

For the frog toy and the duck toy, I’m going to use the sounds of the corresponding toys. The computer typing sounds, from the image reference given now, are in the style of 90’s Windows, so I could use the 90’s mechanical keyboard and mouse sounds. But from what they have said in the group chat, they will also change the art style of the login screen afterward to make it uniform with the style of the game interface. The mechanical feel of the last century, reminds me of a typewriter, so the second set of options was born.

Most of the sound effects in the game interface are synth sounds, some straightforward use, some tweaked (EQ or reverb or only half applied or something like that). The MA students gave me pictures to refer to as well as videos. Because the connected objects are made up of black lines and the connections feel a bit like magnets clinging together, I referenced this feeling when creating the link sound. The objects hit the wall very lightly, hitting and then bouncing off, so I wanted to make the collision sound that felt like a light impact. The game interface is mainly a pink and blue colour scheme, which looks very cute, so when creating other sounds, I chose some cute tones.
