Stage Summary
Today I received the final game video made by Mingyi Liu (MA student). Compared to the last video shown by Crtis, the animation of the brain feedback in the game interface and the ending animation have been added. These correspond to sound effects that need to be added after, as well as the sound of the opening animation that was not done before. As they have again changed the icons for the objects that connect and collide in the game interface, I need to modify this sound effect again. I know from the group chat that they added the coin element this time, so I will consider combining current sound effects with the coin collision sound later. Since it involves adding sounds, I need to learn how to do it in Unity.
Finally, I would like to talk about some of the options that were not implemented.
The train whistle sound was not retained in the final version, mainly because there were already enough sound elements and it would have been very messy to keep it.
The pause menu in the game interface was not completed because the MA students didn’t have enough time to make it. What happens now is that the pause button can be tapped, but only the first icon is dynamic in the pause menu, the remaining two are static. At the beginning of the discussion, they were said that the icon would be created using elements from the penguin toy. So I thought about finding the sounds of the toys I played with as a child to create it. Since the main character is a little girl, the game is full of these cute elements, from frog toys to duck toys to train toys to penguin toys. I liked these settings, but unfortunately, there were no penguin toys at the end.
