Creative process – set up equipment
The only problem we had in this session was how to arrange the sofa that couldn’t be moved out in this space. We thought of four options and ended up with plan D.

Plan A, the whole space looks very random and the screen cannot be placed right in the middle of the wall, it will be blocked by the sofa. Both Plan B and Plan C would have blocked the passage. Plan C put the sofa in the middle of the room, whether the sofa has its back to Monica’s work or to ours, it’s not very polite. Plan D makes the whole space look logical, except that we need to change the placement of the screen and it can’t be placed on the wall as originally planned. Actually placing a sofa for visitors to sit and enjoy the sound clips is also a good option. This is because the three sound clips want to make people feel relaxed.
Follow-up update (Feb. 6):
I visited the exhibition today with a friend, who talked to me a lot about, among other things, the placement of the installation. A dark space with white walls displaying the video and sitting on the floor with headphones on. This might be more immersive.
She told me today that the animation in the middle is hypnotic and it’s easy to watch and get wrapped up in it. She really liked the animation in the middle. So the video seems to have been made successfully.
However she initially thought that the three headphones were just to allow more people to listen to the same audio at the same time, she didn’t realise that there were three different audio tracks on the three headphones. She didn’t realise this until I prompted her to look at the description posted on the screen. She felt that the placement of description was not well placed and could easily be overlooked.
