Initial thoughts on the topic
This time I still want to talk about the area of game sound, in SS & AC I discussed the concept of soundscape in-game sound, which is only a part of game sound. I would like to explore more about game sound, its composition, a certain technique or concept; or maybe about the sound design characteristics of a certain type of game. Such video games, where the sound design of video games is very similar to film sound, but not the same. Because video game sound has different characteristics from film sound. Or perhaps I want to talk about the difference in sound between previous 2-D games and current 3-D games, where the sound design has shifted significantly because of the shift in design format. Or maybe the classic game sounds from before, such as the iconic sound effects of Super Mario Bros. I have a lot of ideas at the moment, but no way to put them together as a clear logic diagram. Also, I have no idea to make the decision which one is the final topic I want to discuss. However, what I can say is that I still want to work on the game sound. I’m a veteran gamer and have a deep love for the sounds in the game world.
